Etsy Treasuries Are So Much Fun!

For anyone who has not heard of Etsy, it’s an online site for people to buy and sell handmade or vintage items. I have an Etsy shop ( See here ) where people can see samples of wedding invitations that I have done. Etsy is very much a community of people who appreciate and help each other.

Treasuries are just one way of doing that while having fun at the same time.
Shop owners are encouraged to make them as part of the Etsy experience. It is a way of promoting each other’s items. Etsy discourages using a item from your own shop. You can just randomly find items or join teams and promote your team’s wares. Team efforts seem to be the best way to reach a wider audience.

There are 16 spots to insert a link to a particular item from another shop.
The sky is the limit of how one can use imagination to link the items. In some teams they post one item to invoke a theme. Colour is another popular way to unite all the treasures. I am astounded at the creativity used in these treasuries and it truly awakens the artist in me. Some treasuries tell a story or create a mood. Most are very beautiful and many are fun. It is so fun to see how different they all are even when using the same item as inspiration.

I have had the honour of having some of my hand-made wedding invitations used in treasuries. It is a source of pride when someone feels your item adds value to their theme or idea. It also promotes the item so it reaches a wider audience. Here are just a couple of treasuries that include one of my wedding invitations.
